Mold is tiny, sometimes even invisible, yet it can cause serious health problems.
According to the CDC, there are three groups of people who risk different consequences from mold exposure:
- Healthy people can suffer from upper respiratory symptoms, coughing and wheezing, eye and skin irritations. These reactions can be more severe for allergic people
- Asthmatics can suffer a worsening of their asthma
- People on medication that affects their immune system and people with chronic lung disease can get serious infections.
